Bags Galore and Some Precious Girls!

Oh my goodness...another amazing way that God is providing for all that we need!!

Here I am with sweet Rayna last Saturday night! All the middle school girls at our church got together that night to have a HUGE BAG-MAKING PARTY! Every girl that came brought a donation and got to make their own bag to carry their Bible and life journal in when they go to small group!

This night was all Jamie's idea! She is their wonderful small group leader! Jamie heard about how Rayna was making bags to help us with our adoption, and she decided to get all the girls involved! She asked me to come share our story with the girls that night, and of course, I was so excited! It was so overwhelming that they would want to do this for us...we are so blessed!

Well, they told me to show up a little late, so they had time to get everything set up. When I walked in, guess what was playing on the big screen for all the girls? The Lucy Lane Gotcha Day video! The girls loved watching the video, and then it was time for me to share about our journey, so far, to Caroline Faith! The girls were so attentive, and I really think they enjoyed learning more about adoption!

And then it was time to get to work...

The girls started by choosing what fabric they wanted for their bag. The bags are reversible, so every girl got a denim piece and then another fabric of their choice.

Their next step was to go to the ironing board and iron their fabrics before they were sewn together!

And here are the sweet mamas doing some serious work on the sewing machines! :)

My sweet friend Beth, who also happens to be Rayna's mom! I can't thank her enough! She had prepared so much beforehand, and she did such a great job directing all the girls in what to do! She sat behind this sewing machine for hours!! And I am pretty sure, she even had to take more sewing home with her because there were so many bags to finish!

Callie Grace insisted on making a bag "like the big girls"! She picked out the fabric, and then Mommy helped her cut it out!

Rayna was busy working on her sewing machine too! And look at what was in the background!

Jason, our crazy, fun youth pastor...better known as Rayna's dad! He was helping some girls on their final step, which was to cut out what they wanted appliqued on their bag!

And here's the whole crew! That night they raised $400 for our adoption!  Praise God! I am so thankful for these girls and their excitement about helping us bring our baby girl home!

"Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity." 1 Timothy 4:12
