Awestruck Wonder!

WOW!! I stand in awe of my Lord and Savior...JEHOVAH JIREH. This is one of the Hebrew names for God, which literally means"The Lord Provides". And oh, how He provides!

We have been so humbled and amazed by how God is providing for our adoption expenses to bring our precious Caroline Faith home!

I actually missed the voice mail from our adoption agency because I had gone outside to meet the kids getting off the school bus! But later that afternoon, I went to check my email and saw something from AGCI with the subject line saying "AGCI-Adoption Donation". I opened the email, and this is what I began to read...

"I am happy to inform you that an anonymous donor has generously given $5000 towards your adoption. As per my voice mail, the donation will be credited into your adoption account and will be applied at the time of referral."

There was more to the email, but I stopped at this point because I was literally in TEARS!! Overwhelmed. Speechless. Grateful. Blessed. Amazed. Humbled. Thankful. ANONYMOUS DONOR!!

Jody was home from work with the stomach virus, and I couldn't even speak or run downstairs to tell him. I was weeping. Since I knew he was on his computer downstairs, I just forwarded him the email. Of course, he quickly came upstairs as soon as he read it!

I could barely talk through my tears (I'm tearing up right now just thinking about it!), and we just sat there so awestruck! We have never received anything from an anonymous donor, that I remember. Wow! We both just talked about how God is providing every single thing we need to bring our baby girl home. We had faith that He would, but to see it all actually play out is just an amazing thing! Words don't do it justice.

Who would've given us this very generous gift? We don't know, and chances are, we never will. That is how this donor wanted it. It is such a beautiful way to give something too...this person never wants to receive any thanks or praise for their gift. The act of giving is the blessing for them...it's enough.

Jehovah Jireh...God Provides. Praising God today for His provision, specifically in our life right now for our adoption expenses!

"So Abraham called that place The LORD Will Provide. And to this day it is said, "On the mountain of the LORD it will be provided." Genesis 22:14

Alison,
I just found your blog after you left a comment on mine and it was a Divine Appointment! We are planning a movie night fundraiser for our adoption and I have been so stressed out that people will not come, or people will not give, and I know that God is using this post as an encouragement to me, so Thank you! We too are bringing home a little girl from Ethiopia! :)
