Callie Grace's Lemonade Stand!

So, it's the Monday afternoon of Thanksgiving Week. The kids are out of school. It is 4:15 pm on a cloudy, but warm fall day. So, what better activity to do than set up a lemonade stand in your front yard?! (Especially when you live on a cul-de-sac that gets almost no traffic, and you have three families coming over for dinner!) Ha! :)

Well, Callie Grace had been begging to set up a lemonade stand for months! We have just been so busy this fall, there has never been a time to do it. But on Monday she finally got to have her lemonade stand!

She was so excited to finally get everything set up, and get her little "business" going!

This is the cute sign that she made all by herself! She would not let me help her at all!

Yep, she sold her lemonade and cookies as a fundraiser to bring her baby sister home!!!

Callie Grace finally got her first customer! Our neighbor, Josh, on his way home from work! Her sweet little friends in our neighborhood helped her sell! They were so funny running door to door on our street trying to get our neighbors to come out and buy lemonade!

And when one of Callie Grace's friends found out that she was trying to raise money for her baby sister's adoption, the friend ran back to her house and emptied her piggy bank and gave Callie Grace all her money. So precious! I love the generous hearts of little children!

Well, it got dark pretty quickly, and we had to come in and get ready for our company that was coming over. But we had to get one last picture of Callie Grace with her lemonade stand sign! She had so much FUN!  And I always LOVE when the kids are involved in bringing their baby sister home!!!

So adorable and what a wonderful view at the heart of a child! I think we'd have to sell hot chocolate up here!

What a sweet little girl...I can tell she is excited for her sister to come home :) At least it's still warm enough to do that - it was 5 degrees when my husband left for work this morning!!

That is so sweet. I love that her friends pitched in too.

I think she is going to be such an amazing sister to Caroline Faith.
