New Pet Bambi?

Look who was curled up on our back patio a few mornings ago...

Looks just like Bambi!   We were so surprised to open our shutters on Tuesday morning to find this sweet little deer laying down just looking at us!  She just stared at us forever, even as we started moving around and taking pictures!

I thought she might be sick or hurt to just be laying there like that, but it was so sweet!  The kids loved seeing her, and I think they were hoping she might stay and be our new pet!  :)

Unfortunately, we must have finally scared her because she did run off, and she was limping as she ran.  Poor baby!  Jody says that she will probably heal very soon!  I sure hope so!  She brought a huge smile to all of our faces that morning!
