Callie Grace's Phone Interview!

Okay, so our social worker called today and said that she needed to interview Callie Grace over the phone for our home study!! She is required to have interviewed everyone in our house over the age of 5. Well, Callie Grace is 6 (soon-to-be 7), so that definitely includes her! So, I told our social worker that we would call her as soon as Callie Grace got home from school.

I was just so excited because I knew this meant that our social worker was already working on the rough draft of our home study! YAY!!!

We called our social worker, and Callie Grace started answering her questions. I think she was a little nervous at first, but she did GREAT!!

A smile of relief! :) The phone interview was a success!

Of course, I was asking CG what all the social worker asked her. I know one thing she asked was if CG understood that Caroline Faith would be coming home to live with us forever and ever. And CG said, "Yes!"

That is something everyone in our house understands and is SO EXCITED about! We can't wait until Caroline Faith is home with us forever and ever and ever!!

Our social worker said she will definitely have the home study written this week, and she will email it to me! Praying that everything goes very smoothly, and that we are mailing our dossier in VERY SOON!!!

"The Lord is my portion; therefore I will wait for Him. The Lord is good to those whose hope is in Him, to the one who seeks Him." Lamentations 3:24-25

Cute! My 8 yr old son told her that he didn't want a sister! Then he said he wanted another brother instead. So she was like, but you are ok with this whole adoption thing... and he was like oh, yeah, I just want another brother! She thought it was funny- and I was relieved that she thought so!

Glad that Callie Grace did well. I remember when our social worker came and my son started telling her this crazy story about almost being shot over at his cousin's house (she had asked if we have any guns in our house!.) Well, fortunately she has a son, and she just gave me a knowing smile!!

This is an exciting time in your adoption!
