God Found Us You!

Last Sunday after church, I found a cutely wrapped present sitting on my car. It was actually tucked right under one of the windshield wipers! I was very surprised and curious to see what it was! I opened the card that was on it, and read a beautiful note from my sweet friend, Mary Katherine.

Just the note itself almost made me cry because it was so sweet. She talked about how they were already praising God for Caroline Faith's life! And it gave me a clue as to what the present was...a gift for baby girl!

And what a special present-her very first book! They gave her the book "God Found Us You". I seriously cannot even tell you how precious this book is...especially for adopted children!

I could not wait to read it! On the way home from church, we had to stop at the gas station to get gas. I began reading the book while pumping the gas, and of course, I started CRYING!!

This book is the heartwarming story of Mama Fox telling Little Fox all about how God found him and brought him home! Some of my favorite lines come after Mama Fox told him that she had to wait a long, long time to see him...

"Did you ever want to give up?" Little Fox asked.

"Sometimes," Mama said, rubbing Little Fox's cheek with hers. "But I trusted that God knew you, and knew me, and knew when we'd fit perfectly together."

Oh, it's just so PRECIOUS!! And what a sweet reminder of God's perfect plan! It will be so incredibly special to read this book to Caroline Faith one day!

Well, little Miss Caty decided she wanted her picture made too last Sunday afternoon! This sweet girl is so ready to be a big sister!! :)

We gave Gabriel that book on his adoption day! I love it and tear up every time I read it too him.

Another great book we love is called On the Night You Were Born. It's beautifully worded with gorgeous pictures on how the world rejoiced on the night a child was born. It just seems truly fitting for adopted children who may feel lonesome about the knowledge that their birth family may not have been able to rejoice at their birth. I love it! And again tear up every time I read it to Gabe.

Someone gave me that book right before we traveled. It is beautiful!!!

So, I was still contemplating the retreat in Feb. when it filled up! Maybe I'll go on the wait list!

I really want to get that book! I teared up just reading the lines you wrote. Someone gave us God Gave Us You when our first child was born. Don't know if it's the same author, but I love that book.

That is so great! How sweet of your friend to do that for you. We actually have a small library of books all ready for little girl but finding books on adoption is awesome. I will definitely pick that one up. If you started crying, I'm sure I'll be a blubbering idiot! :-) Have a great weeknd.
