Caroline's Christmas!

It was so SWEET to see gifts for Caroline Faith under the Christmas tree! It just warmed my heart so much! Our families are so excited that she will be joining us soon...hopefully and prayerfully in 2011!!

Here is the precious doll that we gave her for Christmas! Uncle Drew and Aunt Erin gave her the beautiful pottery angel!  My parents gave Caroline this oh-so SOFT pink blanket bunny! It is so soft and sweet, and I just know she will love it! And here is what made me cry...

the note that my mom wrote to Caroline Faith!! It was so precious to see the love that "Marmi" already has for her 4th granddaughter, who she has never even met! And what was really neat, is that the same day that Mom wrote this letter to Caroline Faith, I had written a letter to her on the blog...December 17, 2010.

It is so cool to know that we both had her on our hearts the same exact day, and we both wrote her a letter telling her how much she is already LOVED!!

And Jody's parents are going to get a baby book for Caroline...they are just waiting on me to pick it out!! I have got to decide on one, so I can start filling it out for her!

I thought these things had completed Caroline Faith's first Christmas, until I got an email from our adoption agency, AGCI, on the Monday after Christmas. I was so surprised to read that a sweet family had made a donation to Hannah's Hope in Ethiopia in Caroline Faith's honor! And this is the note that came with the email...

“This year for Christmas, our family decided that instead of giving lots of gifts to one another, we would give our "gift" money away. We wanted to make a donation to Hannah's Hope, and we thought it would be awesome to give it in Caroline Faith's honor! We are praying that 2011 will be the year she comes home to YOU...her FOREVER family! Hopefully this small donation will benefit her in some way while she is being cared for at Hannah's Hope!”

This family has such a thoughtful, giving heart, and I can't even tell you much this donation meant to us!! Such an incredibly special Christmas gift!!

Yes, we are praying that next year our Christmas card has a new face in it, that there are six stockings hanging from the mantle, that there are four children waking up on Christmas morning to see what Santa has brought...we are entering this new year in hopeful expectation! Can't wait to see God's plan unfold!!

Here are the Bible verses that my mom included in her letter to Caroline Faith...

"Can a mother forget the baby at her breast and have no compassion on the child she has borne? Though she may forget, I will never forget you! See, I have engraved you on the palms of My hands..." Isaiah 49:15-16
