ASK.

I am asking God for something very specific in regard to our adoption journey to Caroline Faith. 

As I was praying today and (literally) crying out to God for our daughter, I began to think on some of the Scripture I know that talks about asking God.  I decided to do a search of the word "ask" on Bible Gateway.  My heart was so encouraged after reading these verses about asking God...

Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.
Luke 11:9


Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete.
John 16:24

Again, truly I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven.
Matthew 18:19


If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.
Matthew 21:22

This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him.
I John 5:14-15

But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind.
James 1:6


Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us,

I am praying BOLDLY and ASKING God for some really big things for our daughter!  I don't know exactly how God will answer my prayer, but I trust Him no matter what!  I know that He hears my prayers, and I know that He will answer according to His good and perfect will!

God is good, all the time.  All the time, God is good!

SO amazing! Was praying for your family earlier this week and meant to email you and well, I seem to not get much done these days:-) Anywho, I felt like GOD said you will receive everything you are asking for and that you will SEE that His timing is so perfect! Kourtney

This is so great. What a wonderful reminder. I have desires in my heart concerning our 2nd daughter, Baby "B" that I KNOW the Lord has heard. I believe that by asking Him of these things, that He will give me the desires of my heart. And if not, then His will is greater than my wants.

Love this!! God spoke this exact thing to me last month, that even though Psalm 38 says he knows every longing of my heart, he still wants me to ask, and so we too are asking boldly for our baby! Can't wait to see the end result!

I loved reading this. It makes me tear up thinking about how God answered our BOLD prayers when we ASKED!!! He answered very loudly and faithfully!
