Happy Memorial Day! It is with great JOY and hearts overflowing with THANKFULNESS that we share our exciting news that...
WE GOT THE CALL this past Thursday for an ADORABLE 9 month old baby girl in Ethiopia!!!!!!!
We are absolutely over the moon IN LOVE with her, and know without a doubt that she is God's perfect plan for our family! I promise ya'll, she has Jody's big SMILE!!! She looks like us! Only GOD!!! We see God shining through her story in such amazing ways!
Our adoption journey to our daughter officially started in May 2010, and God showed us her face 3 years later in May 2013. This journey has been so much more BEAUTIFUL than we could ever imagine! She is SO WORTH THE WAIT!!!! Every second of the 32+ months on the waitlist was part of God's amazing plan to place our daughter perfectly into our family!!! It just overwhelms my heart!
GOD IS SO GOOD!!!

Yay! I have been following your journey, although this is my first time commenting. I'm so happy for your family and for this GREAT news. Adoption is close to my heart, since we adopted our daughter almost 2 years ago and plan to adopt again in the near future. God is SO good!

PHEW!! I've checked this blog EVERY stinking day and I'm SO thrilled to know you've finally gotten it. I have to live vicariously through my other AP friends since we're holding at 4 kids right now. Congratulations to all of you. Can't wait to follow the rest of your journey to bring her home. She's right about the same age as our daughter when we got our referral call. Congrats.

Alison, I am SO excited for you guys and am so excited for the rest of this journey for you all. Honestly our time in the waiting phases could not even compare to the day we found out we had a court date and on, you are just over the moon and beyond emotional on a daily basis and every day is filled with new excitements all leading up bringing your child into your home. We're coming in close to 1 yr being home and I cannot tell you how fast it has gone so enjoy these moments of excitement and all the fun, it's been a long wait and you are reaping the benefits now! CONGRATS over and over, so happy for you all!!!
