When we moved out of our old house about year and a half ago, we had a huge "garage/moving sale". This was all before God had called us to adopt, and we really thought we "were done" having children. So, we sold almost ALL of our baby things.
The only baby things we kept were the crib, the crib mattress, a single stroller, a double stroller, a booster seat (for the kitchen table) and an umbrella stroller. And the only reason I kept the stollers and booster seat was because Caty was still young enough to use them. And I kept the crib and mattress because I thought maybe Drew and Erin would want them one day.
Literally about 1 month after this "garage/moving sale", God led me to Kristi's blog and showed us His plan for our family...and the rest is history! :) Well, I was so thankful that I had at least saved those few baby things! Now fast forward to about 3 weeks ago...
My sweet friend, Holly, from Louisiana called me to tell me that they had just moved their youngest daughter to her big girl bed and...would we be interested in using her crib bedding for Caroline Faith???
I was so thrilled and so THANKFUL!!! It "just so happened" that we were going to see them the very next week! They came through town on their way to the beach, which was also the same week we were at the beach! They were staying just down the road from us at the beach, so we got to hang out with them that week! SO fun! Anyway, they brought the baby bedding with them when they came through Mississippi!
So, the night before we left for the beach, Jody went to meet up with them at their hotel and pick up the bedding! It is so BEAUTIFUL!!!
Here are some of the precious bumper pads and the crib skirt! I LOVE the materials, and the pink and green match Caty's room perfectly!!!
And then she also gave me lots of crib sheets and crib mattress pads! YAY! They are much needed! And I am totally lovin' the pink leopard print sheet!
I can't wait to see how cute it will look on the crib all set up in their room! I am trying to make myself wait until we see her sweet face before I set everything up!
So, for now, the sweet baby bedding is put up in the closet just waiting for the day when we can pull it out and put it on her crib! Can't wait for the day that I am taking pictures of it all set up and ready for our baby girl!!!

Oh my goodness... I just LOVE hearing stories of God's provision on the journey of adoption!! He never ceases to amaze. And it helps that the bedding is SUPER cute too!!!!
awww, it's so pretty!
It's so pretty!!!! Love God's provision. This just makes me smile.
Aww! That bedding is precious and our God is good! My daughter had that same crib bedding and I loved it! Oh, and i found two super cute little storage ottomans at Target too that matched the striped fabric perfectly ... but that's also been {almost} three years ago.
Oh, I love it! It's SO pretty and girly! :)
So sweet!
So precious! Hang in there..your sweet baby girl will be there. I remember the long wait..very long wait..wondering if we would ever be able to pull out all of the little treasures we'd collected along the way throughout the years...but it WILL happen. God keeps his promises. :-)
So pretty! It will be perfect for her room! I love how God provides!
