Yesterday, February 25, 2013, Jody and I went back downtown to the federal building to get our USCIS biometric fingerprints done...for the THIRD time!
These fingerprints expire every 15 months, so when you are in a really long international adoption process, you get to do these several times! And yes, by now, the sweet ladies who work in this office know us very well! :)
The lady doing my prints yesterday was so precious and encouraging. I was talking about how much our kids have grown in the process, how many years have gone by, how many times we have done this, etc. but that we are just trying to trust in God's timing. I told her that we know that His timing will be perfect.
She said, "That's right! It will...don't ever doubt that! Just wait and don't try to rush it." (or something similar to that!) I can't remember her exact words but that was basically what she was saying, and she was right! :)
We are really, really, really praying that the 3rd time's a charm, and we will not have to update anymore USCIS fingerprints!!! We are so ready to see our baby girl's face! Trying so hard to trust HIS TIMING!!!
"But I trust in You, O Lord; I say, 'You are my God.' My times are in Your hand..."
Psalm 31:14-15

Again?!? You think by now, with the extended time it takes to complete an international adoption, they would have increased the time before it expires. Ugh. Once was enough for me, I can't imagine doing it three times!!! Well the good news is third time SHOULD be it, right?!? ;)
